Penfield High School Seniors Can Apply For $1,000 Rotary Scholarship

Consistent with its tradition of community service, the Penfield Rotary Club is awarding its twenty third annual scholarship to a graduating high school senior. This award is $1,000. All high school seniors who reside in the Penfield School District are eligible, regardless of which school they attend. They may attend any public or private school as long as the applicant is a resident of the Penfield School District. 

The award is based on scholarship, financial need, personal character, and extra curricular activities. Since Rotary is an international organization committed to providing community service, a determining factor will be the applicant's participation in serving others in their non-academic activities.The financial award can be used for college, vocational training, business school or any advanced study beyond high school. Applications must be received by June 10, 2010.

Interested students, who meet the above criteria, are encouraged to obtain a scholarship application.
