Our August service project was collecting supplies for 100 children at No. 54 School in Rochester. Penfield Rotarians and friends scoured the area for enough notebooks, paper, pens, pencils, scissors, markers, folders, glue sticks, erasers, rulers and water bottles to fill the bags. Members met at Harris Whalen Park for a socially distance sorting and filling meeting. The 'backpacks" were actually fabric bags with string pulls that can be carried as bags or used as backpacks. We have been donating school supplies for about 8 years. We started out with just about two boxes of supplies in 2012. Boy! Have we grown!!! Thank-you for everyone's support!
