Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
At the ribbon cutting for the wonderful new inclusive park playground, at Rothfuss Park in Penfield. In attendance were Penfield Rotarians, Town of Penfield officials; Town Council members Andy Moore, Linda Kohl and Bob Ockenden and State Assemblyman Mark Johns. This project was made possible in part by a District grant awarded to the Penfield Rotary club.

Penfield's Department of Public Works removed older playground equipment at Rothfuss Park to make way for a new inclusive playground. With an inclusive playground, the objective is to include everyone. They are thoughtfully designed to provide a safe place where children of all abilities can play together, and are developmentally appropriate for children with and without disabilities. This project is in collaboration with the Town of Penfield, a grant from Assemblyman Mark Johns, and the Penfield Rotary Club. The town hopes that this is the first of many locations across our community that will support our children with and without disabilities.
