Take pictures throughout the process 6) Provide the school with the scholarship application package for the students 5) Provide the cutoff dates to receive applications for the scholarships. Determine the date of the awards night 6) Coordinate with the school to obtain the completed scholarship packages 7) Create the package and criteria to evaluate the student application 8) Obtain the scholarshiop application packages and distribute them to the committee members for review |

You will not want to miss this months meeting as we feature Kathy Cummins, Director of Volunteer and Community relations at the Center for Youth as our speaker to align with this month's Rotary Theme Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene. Center for youth provides are Shelter, housing and crisis services.
The Center provides outreach to kids living on the streets, provides emergency housing as well as crisis nurseries. The Center has school based youth development services including Rochester teen court and learn to earn a workforce development an alternative to suspension.
We are collecting diapers, wipes, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, lotion, body wash for teenagers. Let's all help fill the boxes with these critical items for this community outreach organization.
Please register so that we can get a lunch count. Lunch is $10/person.

The kickoff for the 2024 Spring Euchre Tournament Committee Meeting was held yesterday. The next meeting will be held will be held on Thursday April 4th starting at 12N. Tour and Pizza Since 2008, they've given away 34,566 bikes and repaired 45,015! R Community Bikes (RCB) is a grassroots, 501(c)3 organization, staffed entirely by volunteers, that collects and repairs used bicycles for distribution, free of charge, to the Rochester, NY area’s most needy children and adults. They give away over 2,000 bicycles every year and do over 3,000 repairs for thier clients, many of whom depend on bicycles as their main source of transportation. Starting in 2014, they began providing tricycles to disabled individuals who wouldn’t otherwise be able to ride. In addition, they supply bicycles or repair services to dozens of community organizations, including church groups, youth centers, and neighborhood associations.

Join the Penfield Business Chamber as it hosts PENFEST - a fun-filled festival that will take place on Friday, June 14th at Penfield Recreation/Community Center (field), Penfield NY from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m., rain or shine! The PENFEST, which is open to the public and Free to attend, resulted in an attendance of over 600 last year! This is a great opportunity for PBC Member businesses, local area businesses, and vendors to gain some awareness and visibility to their products and services, as well as engage and network with attendees and other vendors! This is the 32nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament put on by the Penfield Rotary Club, Penfierld/Perinton Kiwanis Club and the Town of Penfield on June 17, 2024, at Shadow Lake Golf Club. Be sure to select ROTARY from the Affiliate drop-down menu! The day of fun begins with lunch at 10:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. Dinner will occur after the tournament at approximately 5 p.m. Tournament registration is ongoing, and sponsorship opportunities are available. If you are not interested in golfing, you can still participate in the day by purchasing a dinner-only event ticket. Golf Putting on GreenProceeds from the event will be used to assist community organizations such as Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong, Mary Cariola, Penfield High School's Don Mack Scholarship Fund, Penfield Shepherd Home, Bethany House, Villa of Hope, Boy Scouts of America, Penfield Little League, and various local food pantries. Golfers and new tournament sponsors must register by Memorial Day, May 27th. Previous sponsors without golfers or dinner-only registrations are due by June 3. |
