With their motto of Service Above Self, Rotarians seek out ways to enhance life in their communities. In Penfield, these projects range from cleaning up the shores of Irondequoit Bay and Irondequoit Creek, to arranging flowers for delivery to residents of nursing homes, and providing scholarships for bright, service-minded students at Penfield High School.
Club members also cook and serve meals to veterans at Penfield’s Nucor House, collect items for distribution at the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf, and provide the planters and holiday decorations at the Four Corners Park.
Working together on these projects forms a bond among members while enhancing life in Penfield, making a difference for the Penfield community.
